Mary Lue Morton Obituary (1943 - 2024)

Mary Lue Morton of Big Rapids, Michigan passed away on March 19, 2024. Born in Detroit on October 16, 1943, she is survived by her daughter, Sheryl (Gary) Kendrick, brothers Thomas (Carol) Morton, Richard (Kathy) Morton and Bruce (Erlinda) Morton; grandchildren Rich McCarroll, Anthony Kendrick, Cody Kendrick, Dennis Kendrick; and great grandchildren Jason McCarroll, Joseph McCarroll and Joshua McCarroll. She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Adah Morton, son Jim McCarroll and brothers Jon Morton and Jim Morton. Mary Lue enjoyed a good life, living during various points in her life in Arizona, Washington Florida and finally back to Michigan. Having worked in the travel and hospitality industries, she loved exploring and meeting new people. In her later years, having witnessed firsthand what families might experience with the loss of a loved one, she became an advocate for those who needed guidance during their time of need. Mary Lue was a bright, intelligent and inquisitive woman with a great sense of humor. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. At her request, there will be no service. Instead, remember her fondly and with a smile. She would appreciate that the most. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory to your favorite charity are appreciated.
