Marlon Wright

Marlon Lee Wright, age 63, of Trufant, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The son of Leroy & Geraldine (Irvin) Wright, he was born on August 14, 1958 in Grand Rapids and was employed at Goodwill Industries. Marlon had faith in Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, and enjoyed helping others. Marlon was the kindest person you would ever want to meet. He would give you his last dollar if you needed it but not his last beer you better ask somebody else. All kidding aside, he had the biggest heart of anybody I know. Also if you asked Marlon a question, that he did not know the answer to, he would always say, "Not to my knowing of," as his go to answer. If you wanted to put a smile on his face, all you had to do was play some Barry White, and he might even get up and dance! He also enjoyed his Coca-Cola Classic, and being around family and friends. He will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Martel Wright; and niece, Cheryl Wright. Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Michael & Leora Wright of Trufant; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
