Mark Becker

Mark Alan Becker, age 65, of Baldwin, formerly Vidor, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at home under the loving care of his wife; sister-in-law, Joyce Sullivan; special family friend, Vicki Highfield; and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of Kenneth Otto & Juanita Inez (Rosser) Becker, he was born on September 13, 1954 in Beaumont, Texas. For 42 years he worked at Goodyear Rubber & Tire Company, retiring as a Senior Operator. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Becker. Surviving are his mother, Juanita "Nita" Becker; wife, Gloria Jean (Merrill) Becker of Baldwin; sons, Shane & Jennifer and Chance & Valerie; his wife's children, Jamie & Emil and Jeff & Daggi; grandchildren, Addison, Collin & Aspen, and Kian, Zoey & Silas; two brothers, Scott & Ranah Becker of Village Mills, Texas; David Becker of Beaumont Texas; a nephew Stephen Becker of Village Mills, Texas; and many friends and friends that have become family. Special thanks to the extreme support during his extended illness by his northwoods family, Gary & Patty Zuber, Art & Veronica Lapham, Arthur, James, Penelope and Mary Jean, Caleb Laperriere and Sandra Morency & Keira. While there will be no formal services, a memorial gathering will be held at his dream cabin home on September 13th, 2020, hosted by his wife. The family extends their special thanks to both the Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center and Spectrum Health Hospice.
