Marilyn Stauffer

August 10, 1939 — July 10, 2016

Marilyn (Phillips) Stauffer, age 76, of Wyoming, peacefully passed away at home into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, July 10, 2016, surrounded by her family. The daughter of Harold and Gladys Phillips, she was born on August 10, 1939 in Grand Rapids. Her work career included Fred's Trading Post, Westinghouse and babysitting for neighbors, friends and family. She enjoyed relaxing around the pool with her husband, watching the Lions play football on TV, trips with Doug to Las Vegas, collecting turtle figurines and porcelain dolls and reading. She also crocheted probably over 500 hats and mittens for the Santa Clause girls. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and doing ALL the preparation for family gatherings. Endearingly referred to as "Honey", by her husband, she was given the name of "Honey-Great" by her first great grandchild, Anthony, and the name continued with every great-grandchild thereafter. Marilyn was very believing in her faith and read her Bible passages every day. In fact, she had read the complete Bible over 20 times in her lifetime.
