Margaret Kathryn "Peggy" Davidson, age 90, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Green Acres in Greenville. The daughter of William Patrick & Erma Louise Dwyer, she was born on March 5, 1926 in Taylorville, Illinois. On September 4, 1948, in Farmington, she married Norman L. Davidson and together they raised two children and enjoyed 53 years of marriage. Peggy was selected as "Miss DSR", a publicity program of the Detroit Street Railways that featured "glamour girls" to promote public transportation and had worked at Employers Insurance Company prior to having children. A skilled tap dancer, she will be long remembered for her entertainment at family gatherings and celebrations... but most of all, she will be remembered for the joy she brought to others. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman L. Davidson, Sr.; and six brothers and sisters, Bill Dwyer, Lauraine Gardner, Tom Dwyer, Anne Thiede, Mary Lou Frederickson, and Bob Dwyer. Surviving are a son, Norman Jr. & Wendi Davidson of Gowen; a daughter, Louise Davidson of Rockford; a sister, Judy & Don Robinson; her grandchildren, Lindsay & Mike Lichter of Walker, and Bill Davidson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; two step-grandchildren, Ashley & Ethan Nickerson and Alex Warnes & Mona Mogahed; a great-grandson, Calvin Nickerson; and many, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Charles Catholic Church, 505 S. Lafayette Street, Greenville, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rev. Father James Wyse will celebrate the Mass and burial will take place privately at Great Lakes National Cemetery near Holly. Instead of flowers, Peggy would have appreciated contributions in her memory to the Humane Society of West Michigan (https://hswestmi.org). Envelopes will be available at the church.
