Lucienna May "Lucy" Brown, age 91, of Greenville, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022 at The Laurels of Carson City with her family at her side. The daughter of Irvin B. & Audrey B. (Wortman) McCusker, she was born on October 25, 1931 in Battle Creek, Michigan.
On September 9, 1950, in Ionia, she married Ronald Richard Brown and together they raised four daughters and enjoyed over 68 years of marriage until Ronald passed away on March 1, 2019.
A devoted wife and mother, Lucy also worked outside the home, first at the former City Club in Greenville, and then at Credit Thrift before joining Preferred Federal Credit Union in 1981 as accounting manager until her retirement in 1996. She enjoyed knitting, sewing - especially baby blankets and dolls for her grandchildren, and baking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald R. Brown; a sister, Donna Barrett; a grandson, Jason Marc Hansen; an infant great-granddaughter, Alexi Nicole; and an infant great-great grandson, Marieck Rieckman.
Surviving are her daughters, Kerry Hillman of Gowen, Sherry Taylor of Mishawaka, Indiana, Pam & Al Gender of Greenville, and Pat & Phil Hansen of Greenville; a brother, Donald McCusker of Delaware; a sister, Mary Thomas of Tennessee; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
Honoring her wishes, no services will be held and burial will take place at Eureka Township Cemetery. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of ones' choice.
