Linda Lee Cooper, age 69, of Greenville, passed away Sunday evening, December 29, 2019 under the loving care of her family and Faith Hospice. The daughter of Carmen Delos & Yvonne Celeste (Luttrell) Bean, she was born on September 17, 1950 in Greenville and on November 12, 1968, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Belding, she married John Christopher Cooper. Together they raised three children and enjoyed 51 years of marriage.
Linda enjoyed gardening, needlework, embroidery, and cross-stitching, as well as reading, painting, and woodworking.
She was preceded in death by her father; her daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth (Cooper) Adams on September 19, 2010; and a brother, Randy Bean.
Surviving are her husband, John Cooper, Sr. of Greenville; her mother, Yvonne Bean of Big Rapids; a daughter, Kimberley & Jeff Alexanderof Howard City; a son, John "Bugs" & Julie Cooper of Grand Rapids; a son-in-law, Robert "Bob" & Dana Adams of Belding; nine grandchildren, Zachary & Shyanne Alexander, Hunter Alexander, and Nathan Alexander, Taryn & Ryan Shields, Phaedra Adams, Hannah Adams, Grayson Cooper, Knox Cooper, and Nash Cooper, with a 10th grandchild on the way; a great-granddaughter, Hazel Alexander; three brothers, Carmen & Sue Bean, Jerry & Shelly Bean, and Danny Bean; siblings-in-law, Beth & Ken Taylor, Dennis Cooper, Joe & Sue Cooper, Kent & Maria Cooper, and Marjean Cooper; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, and from 10-11 a.m. on Friday at St. Charles Catholic Church, 505 S. Lafayette Street, Greenville, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, with the Rev. Father James B. Wyse as celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville.
Instead of flowers, Linda would have appreciated contributions in her memory to either St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to Faith Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
