Lillian E (Duckworth) Vallad, 79, of Woodard Lake, Ronald Township, passed away late Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Spectrum Health-United Hospital in Greenville. The daughter of Edward & Edith (Taylor) Duckworth, she was born on May 21, 1936 in Eaton Rapids.
On June 15, 1954, in Williamston, she married Jack Vallad and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Lillian also worked very hard in two family businessess, Vallad Electric and Vallad Concessions. She also was a wonderful mother and wife, raising three children. In her free time, she served as President of the Ionia J.C.ettes and loved decorating her home with antiques.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bertha Martin; a brother, Edward Duckworth.
Surviving are her husband, Jack Vallad; their children, Michael & Jan Vallad, Edward & Charlene Vallad, and Theresa & Thomas Clark; seven grandchildren, Joshua Vallad, Terra & Jon Dalton, Jason Vallad, Amanda & Brandon Simmons, and Anna Clark; and three great-grandchildren, Kendal Dalton, Jackson Dalton, and Cecilia Simmons; and many nieces and nephews .
