Kenneth Eugene Larsen, age 82, of Stanton, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at home under the care of Spectrum Health Hospice and with his loving family at his side. The son of Leonard H. & Bernadine Elizabeth (Thompson) Larsen, he was born on July 12, 1936 in Trufant.
Ken proudly served his country in the United States Army for 14 years. On October 15, 1976, in Greenville, he married Linda Kay Byington and together they enjoyed almost 42 years of marriage. Ken worked at the Sparta Foundry, transported oil for the Verbrugge Oil Company and recently retired from Elenbaas Steel Supply after 18 years of service. He enjoyed working hard, fishing, gold mining and watching western movies; however, his greatest joy was his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Rowdy Larsen; and two brothers, Donald Larsen & Leonard Larsen.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Larsen of Stanton; their children, Holly Larsen, Kenneth & Sheri Larsen, Andy & Lucinda Swank, Misty & Tony Miller, and Eric & Kindra Swank; a daughter-in-law, Jeanne Larsen; siblings, Jim & Sandy Larsen, Judy Hansen, Patricia Brainard, and Gerald Larsen; his mother and father-in-law, Betty & Larry Bennett; Linda's siblings, Melvin Byington, Arthur & Cindy Byington, Rick Byington, and Cindy & Bob Wilcox; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
