Kathryn Parks

Kathryn Louise Parks, age 68, of Ionia, passed away on Monday morning, February 2, 2015 under the loving care of her family and Spectrum Health Hospice at her home. The daughter of Gilbert R. and Kathleen Marie (Lehman) Rowley, she was born on June 19, 1946 in Ionia. Kathryn spent her entire life in the Ionia area and after attending Ionia Public Schools, she met and married David Gene Parks on February 19, 1966. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gilbert Rowley; and several in-laws. Kathryn is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, David Parks of Ionia; a daughter, Amy Parks of Freeport; a son, Chad R. Parks of Orleans; three grandchildren, Brianna Parks of Sunfield, Ericka Wood of Rapid City, and Kyle Parks of Orleans; one great-granddaughter, Paisley Cassel of Sunfield; three sisters, Carolyn & Bob Darnell of Ionia, Lorraine & Ralph Montgomery of Ionia, and Grace & Albert Hopkins of Orleans; two brothers, Vern & Diane Rowley and Clifford & Brenda Rowley all of Ionia; four sisters-in-law, Babe Simon of Pewamo, Harriet McQuillian of Lyons, Doris Parks of Maple Rapids, Sharon Parks of Ionia, and Donna Parks; two brothers-in-law, Gary McQuillian of Lyons and Louis Simon of Pewamo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
