Karl Wayne Norton, Jr., age 56, of Grand Rapids, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 12, 2011 at Spectrum Health-Blodgett Hospital in East Grand Rapids. The son of Dorris Lee (Kelly) & Karl Wayne Norton, Sr., he was born on June 11, 1955 in Grand Rapids. A proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he served his country towards the end of the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife, Deborah L. Norton of Grand Rapids. Homegoing services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Mount Moriah Baptist Worship Center, 892 Caulfield Avenue S.W., Grand Rapids, with military honors rendered by the U.S. Marine Corps.
