Julie K. Abell Obituary (1968 - 2023)

Julie Kaye Abell, age 55, of Ithaca, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Corewell Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The daughter of James Ernest & Freda Joan (Peet) Abell, she was born on January 25, 1968 in Alma. Julie was a 1987 graduate of Ithaca High School. She had worked at Mahle Engine Components and enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids, siblings and mother. She was preceded in death by her father, James E. Abell; two sisters, Deborah S. Abell and Joan Abell; and a brother, Jerry M. Abell. Surviving are her mother, Freda Abell of Ithaca, MI; her children, Amanda & Dakota Nichols of Ithaca, and Randy & Michaela Odem of Bannister; five grandchildren, Kennidi Nichols, Ryan Reynolds, Ryker Nichols, Barrett Odem, and Richard Paul Odem; brothers and sisters, Thomas & Gloria Abell, James & Betty Abell, Joseph & Tina Abell, Linda and Rod McDonald, Mary & Gary Howerton; a sister-in-law, Teresa Abell; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
