Jimmy Lee King Obituary (1980 - 2015)

Jimmy Lee King, age 35, of Greenville, passed away Monday afternoon, November 16, 2015, from injuries received in an automobile accident in Kent County. The son of Tina Marie Echter & Larry W. King, Jr., he was born on January 25, 1980 in Greenville and attended Greenville Public Schools, where he began dating his future wife, Shawn, in March of 1995. Jimmy had worked as a carpet and flooring installer, was a good hearted people person, and looked forward to hunting with his son. On July 19, 2003, in Cedar Springs, he married Shawn Elizabeth Gornowich. Surviving are his wife, Shawn King; their two children, Daylyn Jade King and Landon Lee King, all of Greenville; his mother, Tina Echter of Greenville; his father, Larry King, Jr., and his fiance Sidney Spice, of Jackson; two brothers and a sister, Brant & Gentri King of Greenville, Tabitha King of Hubbardston, and Martin Pahl of Greenville; his grandparents, Larry & Mildred King, Sr., and Terry Owens, all of Greenville; parents-in-law, Dana Cook of Cedar Springs, Dan & Carol Gornowich of Walker, and Bob Willemstein of Greenville; a brother-in-law, Rob Willemstein of Grand Rapids; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation with the family is from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Instead of flowers, relatives and friends are asked to consider the needs of the family. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the funeral home.
