Jimmie Vaughn

Jimmie J Vaughn, age 83, of Edmore, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at home, surrounded by his loved ones. The son of Vernon Vaughn and Golden Ann Tipton, he was born on September 18, 1937, in Vestaburg. On September 18, 1993 he married Charlotte Powelson, and together they enjoyed 28 years of marriage and helped raise their six great-grandchildren. Jimmie was a graduate of Vestaburg High School and retired from the Montcalm County Road Commission after 32 years. Jim enjoyed building things for his great grandkids, camping, hunting, attending his grandkids' sporting events, and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid fisherman and spent most of his retirement in his boat with family and friends, fishing. He was the best husband, dad and grandpa, and will be missed fiercely, and forever hold a place in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Josephine Loomis; and three brothers, Greg Vaughn, Jack Vaughn, and Jake Vaughn. Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Vaughn; his daughter, Julie & Tom Sherington; his granddaughter, Amber Deal; his grandson, Brian Deal; six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Paje, Gracie, Hana, BraLynn, and Fisher; his siblings, Norma Lipps, Jerry Vaughn, Sally Wise, Dave Vaughn, Janet Meyers, and Donnie Waldron; and several nieces and nephews.
