James Allen Callihan, age 75, of Lowell, went to his heavenly home on Friday, October 30, 2020 at home under the loving care of his family and Kindred Hospice.
The son of Charles LeRoy & Mildred Mae (Looman) Callihan, he was born on June 3, 1945 in Grand Rapids. On September 19, 1964, he married Goldie Faye Tudor and together, they raised two daughters and enjoyed over 56 years of marriage.
Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing and bluegrass music. He was an avid enthusiast of Western movies, and could tell you the name of one just by hearing the first few notes of the intro.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Allen Callihan, Jr.; his parents, Charles & Mildred; a sister, Charlene Dawson; and a nephew, Gary Callihan, Jr. Surviving are his wife, Goldie, of Lowell; their two daughters, Kimberly & John Smith and Lori Callihan and her fiance, Cory Loonsfoot; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Smith and her fiance Kyle Haverstick, and Morgan & Aaron Phillipo; a grandson, Holden Loonsfoot; two great-granddaughters, Layla Phillipo and Norah Phillipo; three sisters, Sharon & Gerald Croshaw, Cindy & Maurice Stannard, and Sally & Doran Loftus; four brothers, Gary & Joyce Callihan, Sr., Tim & Elizabeth Callihan, Lloyd & Barbara Callihan, and Charles & Dana Callihan; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Dave & Alice Walters.
