Gerald Alyea

Gerald Benjamin Alyea, age 80, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The son of Rowland & Aletha (Torrance) Alyea, he was born on August 11, 1941 in East Grand Rapids. Jerry retired from Worden Manufacturing in Holland where he worked as a design engineer in the office and school furniture industry. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his special friend and companion of 40 years, Donna DeVries of Greenville a son, Daniel Alyea of Makanda, Illinois; a step-son, Gary Alyea-Jamrock of Grand Rapids; a sister, Michelle Schreiber; two brothers, Gordon Alyea and Raymond Alyea; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
