Darlene Musser, age 67, of Saranac, formerly of Greenville, passed away Wednesday morning, April 5, 2023 at her home under the loving care of her family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The daughter of Howard & Ethel Rosella (Porter) Musser, she was born on March 5, 1956 in Greenville.
Darlene enjoyed playing games (euchre, trouble, skipbo), watching the news, especially the weather, spending time with her grandkids, and having family over. You could even find her from time to time scratching a lottery ticket. She loved listening to music from Elvis and Ricky Van-Sheldon, hosting Thanksgiving and had a nickname "Grandma Cookie" from her awesome chocolate chip cookies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Joseph Musser in 1995 and James Musser in 2005.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Todd & Kelly Jo Musser of Saranac; her grandchildren, Tyler Petrekovich, McKenzie Barna, Maverick Musser, Ellary Musser, and Jayden Musser; brothers and sisters, Marcie Musser, Shirley Shattuck, Salley Scutt, Betty Musser, Howard Jr. Musser, and Penny Berens; and nieces and nephews, Matt and Stephanie Musser, Marcie Musser, Donald Musser, Corrine Musser, Sherry and Mark Saunders, Melanie Musser, Mike Robinson, and many others.
Visitation is from 4-5 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The family has asked everyone to wear purple, Darlene's favorite color. Private interment, beside her two sons, will take place at Otisco Township Cemetery near Belding.
