Edmund E. McDonald, age 86, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
He was born on May 16, 1935, in Oil City, PA, to Emerson & Elizabeth (Paup) McDonald.
Ed proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. He worked for Consumer's Power, retiring in 1996. Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, camping and was an avid golfer.
Ed married Sally Morais on June 24, 2006, in Sheridan.
Survivors include his wife, Sally; children, Karen (Ken) Knapp and David (Katie) McDonald; grandchildren, Nick, Shannon, Andrew and Natalie; step-children, Jane (William) Helms, Pete (Sharon) Mathisen and Kerry (Jeff) Beal; step-grandchildren, Mark, Eric, Alison, Caleb, Maya, Jordan and Rhyssa; and pups, Izzy and Lilly. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn; and two sisters, Barbara and Helen.
His love of family and friends, stories, booming voice and laughter will be missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville. Burial will take place at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 29, at Resurrection Cemetery, Grand Rapids, where military honors will be rendered by Kent County Veterans Honor Guard.
