Dorothy Bos

Dorothy L. Bos, age 103, of Gowen, formerly of Lansing, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Masonic Pathways in Alma. The daughter of Charles O. & Marie E. (Hall) Burlingham, she was born on May 3, 1913 in St. Paul, Minnesota. On May 7, 1949, in Lansing, she married James J. Bos. Dorothy had worked as a bank secretary, had been a member of Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church, and was a life member of the former Arbutus Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. While in the Greenville area, she had attended Turk Lake United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James, in 1981; and a brother, Edwin Burlingham. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Judy & Gary Asiala of Gowen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church, 301 W. Jolly Road, Lansing, with the Rev. Tony Patrick officiating. Burial has already taken place beside her late husband at Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing.
