January 19, 1929 — July 30, 2020

Doris E. Bartholomew, age 91, of Langston, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 30, 2020 at Spectrum Health-United Hospital in Greenville. The daughter of Adrian "Ed" & Sadie Alice (Cole) Gibbie, she was born on January 19, 1929 in Langston where she attended school. On November 23, 1946, in Greenville, she married Robert F. Together, they raised two daughters and enjoyed 58 years of marriage until Bob passed away on April 26, 2005. Doris enjoyed crocheting (having made countless baby outfits and afghans for family and friends), drawing and painting, feeding the birds, and cooking (if you stopped in to visit her, you never left hungry), but most of all she delighted in time spent with her family. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki & Richard Shindorf of Langston, and Sadie & John Springsteen of Greenville; a sister Jane Snyder of Langston; her grandchildren, Johnny & Julie Springsteen, Jody & Bill Collins, Melissa Clapp, Laura & Doug West, Cal Shindorf, Amy & James Liggett, Sarah Shindorf, Richard & Geremy Roderick, and Janelle Shindorf; great grandchildren, Trevin Springsteen, Breanna Collins, Brielle Collins, Monica Pickett, Sabrina Pickett, Bethany Pickett, Laura Keilholtz, Darrick & Maddie Liggett, Jared Liggett, Kaden Liggett, Autumn Brecht, Slade Brecht, Addison Shindorf, and Jennaca Shindorf; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Brockway Wesleyan Church, 10951 3 Mile Road at 110th Avenue, Morley, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Due to the governor's emergency order, church capacity is limited to 100 persons and masks are required. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for committal services at 4:00 p.m. on Monday at Riverside Cemetery, Langston. The Rev.
