Beverly Wiltjer

Beverly Jean (Oswalt) Wiltjer, age 74, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, October 4, 2021. She was born November 24, 1946, in Union City, Indiana, to the late Clyde and Berdena (Bouseman) Oswalt. Beverly married William Wiltjer on July 22, 1995, in Grand Rapids. Beverly loved NASCAR and the Detroit Tigers. She loved decorating for the holidays and driving around with her family looking at the Christmas lights. Her family was very important to her and she loved them all so much. Beverly was super proud of her great-granddaughter, Charlotte. She loved to color in her adult coloring books and going to Logan's Steakhouse because she could throw her peanut shells on the floor. Beverly had a rough life, but she learned to adapt to any situation. She will be missed greatly. Survivors include her husband of 26 years, William; children, Julie (Pete) Heimer, Christine (Johnny) Wingerter, Sandi (Kenny) Funk, and John (Tara) Somerville; grandchildren, Seth Heimer, Troy Heimer, Beau (Harleigh Patten) Heimer, Nicholas Klemish, Ashley Wooden, Samantha and Cody Scott, and Tyler and Caitlin Sturgis; great-granddaughter, Charlotte Heimer; siblings, Ronald Oswalt, Susan Johnson, Barbara Gibson, Cindy Sullivan, David Oswalt, and Richard Oswalt; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Berdena; brother, Paul Oswalt; and sister, Linda Uher. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Lowell Township Hall, 2910 Alden Nash Avenue S.E., Lowell, MI 49331. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given for Spectrum Health Hospice in Beverly's memory. The family would like to extend their thanks to Spectrum Health Hospice for the care they gave not only Beverly, but the compassion shown to the family as well during this difficult time.
