Barry Ridgeway Obituary (1960 - 2024)

Barry Alton Ridgeway, Sr., age 63, of Greenville, died Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at home. The son of Ceil Aldon “Al” & Sandra Lee (Porter) Ridgeway, he was born on July 21, 1960 in Greenville and spent over 25 years working for Bud Playter at Bud’s Auto Parts in Gowen. Barry was always willing to help his friends and family, enjoyed fishing, watching the races at Crystal and listening to friends sing karaoke, but most of all delighted in spoiling his grandkids. He had a fondness for collecting odds and ends… especially lawnmowers. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Barry A. Ridgeway, Jr. on May 17, 2017; a son-in-law, Michael D. DePue on March 14, 2021; a sister, Faith Ridgeway; and a brother, Jack Randall. Surviving are his children, Amber DePue of Greenville, Jeff & Kara Ridgeway of Davison, Monica Ridgeway of Stanton; his grandchildren, December DePue, Paige DePue, Renae Houseman, Karley DePue, Isiah DePue, Bryson Ridgeway, Carter Ridgeway, Asher Ferens, and Shelby Ridgeway; four brothers, Curt & Colleen Ridgeway, Al & Vivian Ridgeway Aaron Ridgeway & Kim Harvey, and Bill Artnz; his sister-in-law, Fay Randall; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
