Allen Gilman

Allen Lee Gilman, age 74, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Medilodge of Portage. Born on May 19, 1947 in Grand Rapids, Allen proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran the Vietnam War, where he earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, a Presidential Unit Citation, Rifle Marksman Badge, and the Good Conduct Medal. Committal services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, with military honors rendered by the U.S. Marine Corps, the Fort Custer National Cemetery Honor Guard, and the Patriot Guard Riders of Michigan.
